Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
Our Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) Course provides essential information and aims to raise awareness to help practitioners understand this area of Safeguarding. It focuses on what FGM is, why it is practised, where it takes place, legislation, the effects and the treatment, help/advice available. It identifies possible early warning signs that FGM has been practised, or is being planned, and all the information is relevant for all Early Years practitioners.

The Training
On completing the course, learners should understand:

- The effects
- The help, advice and support available
Final Test
Once you have completed the online training, you will be able to take the final test.
- You will be asked 10 questions.
- You will require an 80% pass mark.
- You can take the test as many times as you need.
Duration
It takes approximately 30 minutes to complete the entire course.
This course is certificated on its completion. The length of time you take is entirely dependent on how quickly you can study and absorb the information. Remember, it’s important to learn the content and not to rush through the course. Please do take notes during these courses.
Certification
This course is certified by the CPD Certification Service as conforming to the universally accepted Continuous Professional Development Guidelines.
