Our Drink and Drug Awareness course provides useful information on alcohol misuse, the characteristics of some well-known illegal drugs, the effects of parental substance misuse on children, the importance of safeguarding and county lines.

The Training
On completing the course, learners should understand:
- drink and drug legalities; underage drinking
- drug terminology
- the characteristics of some well known illegal drugs
- the need for children to be talked to and understand drink and drugs and the possible short and long term effects
- the effects of parental substance misuse on young children
- the importance of safeguarding children with parents who misuse
- how practitioners can assess the risk
- the role of local authorities
- county lines; what it means and the effects
Final Test
This course has been accredited by the CPD Certification Services as conforming to the universally accepted Continuous Professional Developmental Guidelines. On successful completion, you can download and print your certificate from the learner management system.
Duration
The entire course and test should take approximately one hour.
This course is certificated on completion. The length of time you take is entirely dependent on how quickly you can study and absorb the information. Remember, it’s important to learn the content and not to rush through the course. Please do take notes during these courses.
